Safety First: The Importance of Using Your Key Fob

At PLG Kids Academy, the safety of our children is always our top priority. One of the most important ways we maintain a secure environment is through the consistent use of our key fob access system. While it may seem like a small daily habit, using your key fob plays a critical role in protecting our school community and supporting a smooth daily routine.

We kindly remind all parents and guardians that a key fob is required to enter the building. During instructional time, teachers are fully engaged with the children and are unable to leave their classrooms to open doors. This uninterrupted time is essential for maintaining a focused, calm, and productive learning environment. Similarly, there may be moments when our office team is assisting other families and cannot immediately provide access.

By using your key fob, you help ensure that teachers can remain focused on the children and that daily transitions—such as drop-off and pick-up—run efficiently and safely.

To support this process, we ask that all families:

  • Carry their key fob each time they arrive on campus

  • Use the key fob to enter through the front door

  • Ensure that each authorized person responsible for drop-off or pick-up has their own key fob

If you do not currently have a key fob, one can be easily obtained through the school office for your convenience.

It is also important to remember that, to maintain the security of our system, you should notify the office immediately if your key fob is lost or misplaced. This allows us to deactivate the missing device and protect access to the building.

Your cooperation is essential in helping us maintain a safe, secure, and uninterrupted learning environment at our Fort Lauderdale preschool campus, where children can thrive, and teachers can remain fully present with their students.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in keeping our school community safe. If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the office.
