Florida VPK is a free educational program designed to prepare four-year-olds for kindergarten and beyond. It is available to all children who live in Florida and turn four years old on or before September 1 of the school year in which they enroll.
If your child is approaching that four-year milestone, now is the time to explore VPK, ask questions, and plan ahead. A little preparation today can open the door to a confident, well-supported start to your child’s next chapter.
What is VPK?
The VPK curriculum supports early literacy, language development, social skills, and emotional readiness—essential building blocks that help children feel confident, capable, and prepared as they move into elementary school.
For families already enrolled full time at PLG Kids Academy, there is an added benefit. When your child transitions into VPK in the next academic year, VPK vouchers can be used to help lower tuition. Parents may apply for the program in advance and have the voucher ready to use as soon as their child begins the new school year. This proactive step supports continuity in your child’s education while easing the financial transition for families.
Apply Early
What many families don’t realize is that while VPK is guaranteed statewide, spaces at our school are limited. Applying early gives families more flexibility, peace of mind, and a better chance of securing a spot at the school they prefer.
